A charming piece (with a nod to Beckett) about displaced teenagers awaiting the opening of a new youth centre. Written in response to the recent government pledge to put billions into creating youth centres for every neighbourhood to tackle teenage delinquency, this is a politically charged play packed with wit and pathos.
Award-winning playwright Tanika Gupta works with formidable teenage writer Atiha Sen-Gupta, who currently writes for E4's new comedy drama Skins. Tanika returns to hampsteadtheatre for the first time since her critically acclaimed Fragile Land.
